About Gooosip

Hi, my name is Marijana (Mary-Anna), I’m a software developer based in Ontario, and I’m the one-woman team behind Gooosip — a proudly Canadian social platform built by us, for us.

I started Gooosip because I believe Canadians deserve a place to connect, share, and support one another without relying on American social media giants. In a time when the political climate feels overwhelming and divisive, I’ve been truly inspired by how Canadians have rallied together — choosing to shop local, uplift each other, and put our own voices first.

Gooosip is a grassroots, independent alternative to the noisy and often toxic social spaces we’ve grown used to. Here, it’s about community, not clicks. It’s about celebrating Canadian stories, supporting small businesses, spotlighting important issues, and having a little fun while we’re at it!

I’m building this from the ground up, with no big team or funding behind me — just a lot of heart, code, and maple-syrup-level dedication. The app isn’t live just yet, but I’m working hard every day to bring this dream to life and create a space where Canadians can feel seen, heard, and connected.
